The Postgraduate Studies Office at the Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) will be hosting a postgraduate conference for the presentation and discussion of research in engineering, science and technology performed by MSc and PhD students. This conference is organised annually as discussion platform for researchers in science, engineering and technological disciplines including electrical and electronics, chemical, civil, mechanical, geosciences and petroleum, and computer and information technology.
This conference will also enable postgraduate students to gain experience of presenting their research work in a formal conference environment. The day therefore promises to be exciting and beneficial not only in developing good conference skills, but also to build the essential skills needed before venturing into the career world. There will be a free forum entitled “Starting Career in Research and Academics” for all participants. The forum is suitable for both academic staff and postgraduate students. The session aimed at those starting their research careers and more experienced researchers looking to build on or further disseminate their expertise.
